Ritual tattoos

Today the author will show - and at the same time tell you more about the world. Or rather, about Gaeli - a large continent in the Old Part of the world, near the land of Kramor.

Gaeli is inhabited by two (actually three) peoples - Elro and humans. The third is the so-called "fox people". They belong to the human race, but they are very original. And physically, too, they differ a lot, but now we are not talking about them.

Let's talk about the culture of Gaelic elro (alfre).

These people honor the gods, which are called the Hidden Ones. There are seven of them, the Hidden ones, the older ones and a considerable number of the younger ones. Here are the names of the elders - Miana-Mother, Loraho-Protector, Etiva-Giver, Edarn-Golden, Beira-Winter, Egyar-Master and, of course, Zor the Bloody Sun.

Among other things, some of the Ayulan - Aymira, which is called Naanne here, and the fiery Aitir himself are revered, the Gaelians call him Sunny-faced.

It's all a saying. And the fairy tale for which the fast was started is this: every Gaelic servant of the Supreme Will, faithful to the path of some god (priest, healer, sorcerer, healer or warrior) wears the sign of this god on his body. A tattoo.

Healers and healers ask for help from the lady of pure water Naanne. Their sign is a triple whirlpool on the back of the palm.

The warriors-all-are dedicated to the will of Loraho. For boys who have passed military initiation, at the age of sixteen winters, the first pattern is applied to the left shoulder - the trivershe Loraho and several curls. The older the warrior becomes, the more fame he has gained, the wider and more complex the pattern becomes, which are renewed and refined by the priests of Loraho.

The children of Zor-his priests and magicians who take power from the Bloody Sun-remember the path their god himself chose. Scarlet tattoos on the forearms-one or two at once- are their sign.

The priests of Edarn and These you - the twin gods who are in charge of all the fertility of the earth - are marked with signs under the collarbone, in the form of the moon and herbs.

Faithful Miana wear a sign in the palm of Her hand in the form of Her mirror. The whirlpool of the Future is called the spiral in the palm of your hand, which marks the soothsayers and magicians who are not committed to any of the gods personally.

No one puts the Beira sign on their body - many people don't even know about it. Berra's Sign will be discussed separately later.

Egyar is a simple god. He does not require signs on the body from those who pray to him. But his staff is painted on barrels of beer - they say it is stored longer and comes out tastier.

The sign for the will of Aiter among the Galtsy is a cross in a circle, sunny, straight.

It is drawn as a talisman with red paint, for a while, on the forehead or palm.

And no one wears it all the time - it's dangerous.

By what? And more on that later, too. But the main thing about Gaelic tattoos and signs is here. And the drawings are attached.
